CPES Showcases Research and Honors Legacy at ECCE 2025

Sep 30, 2025

CPES is proud to play a leading role at IEEE Energy Conversion Congress and Exposition (ECCE), the premier global conference in the field of power electronics and energy conversion.

This year, CPES researchers will contribute more than 20 oral and poster presentations, underscoring the center’s leadership in advancing high-impact power electronics research across areas such as transportation electrification, renewable and sustainable energy systems, and energy storage technologies.

The center will also have a booth at the Expo showcasing hardware from our labs, built by our students. Stop by booth 304 to see what we’ve been working on.

A highlight of ECCE will be a Luminaries Special Session recognizing the contributions of Dushan Boroyevich, CPES Director Emeritus and a world-renowned scholar who has shaped the field of power electronics. This session offers a unique opportunity to reflect on Dushan’s groundbreaking contributions, learn from his experiences, and engage in discussions about the future direction of this rapidly evolving domain.

Since its inception in 2009, ECCE has become the flagship event for energy conversion. It brings together researchers, engineers, and industry professionals from across the globe to exchange the latest knowledge and innovations in:

  • Power electronics systems and devices
  • Electric machines and drives
  • Transportation electrification
  • Inverter-based resources and devices
  • Renewable and sustainable energy systems
  • Energy storage and microgrids
  • Power quality management

By presenting cutting-edge research and celebrating the legacy of leaders who have shaped the discipline, CPES continues to push the boundaries of what is possible in energy conversion technologies.
