Congratulations to the 2018 CPES Conference Student Presentation Award Winners!

Apr 18, 2018

CPES is pleased to congratulate the winners of our Annual Conference Student Presentation Awards. These awards recognize the best student presentations from the conference's technical and lab dialogue sessions. Technical sessions are an opportunity for students to present their research in a formal setting, while dialogue sessions allow students to discuss their research and demonstrate their work and prototypes in person to their colleagues and peers. Conference attendees were encouraged to vote for the best presentation from each of the five technical sessions, as well as for the students they believed prepared the best presentation during the lab dialogue sessions.

The three dialogue session winners were selected from 66 poster presentations based on the overall number of votes received. The two technical session winners were selected by the Student Presentation Awards Committee from the students who received the most votes in each technical session. This year's conference had 17 technical presentations overall, divided into five sessions. Winning students were presented with a certificate at the Awards and Reception Dinner which concluded the conference on Tuesday evening, and each will receive $500. A special thanks to Texas Instruments, Delta, GE, Lockheed Martin, and Huawei, who sponsored the awards.
