'Modeling, Analysis and Simulation of Large-Scale Power Electronics-based Power Grids'
Project Description:
Simulations of large-scale interconnected power electronics circuits are known to be difficult using existing commercial software tools. The big challenges are compromised modeling fidelity or accuracy and computation power. This leads to motivation of developing efficient and accurate modeling and simulation approaches of power electronics for power grids.
The objective is to develop an innovative modeling methodology to capture the interested dynamics, stability analysis approaches for a wide range of frequency spectra, and scalable simulation framework for both long-term and short-term purposes in terms of simulation time. The extension or integration with existing commercial power system analysis tool(s) is preferred, if technically feasible. Co-simulation can also be pursued.
