2022 CPES Annual Conference

The 40th CPES Annual Conference will be held at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Virginia, April 11th - 13th, 2022.
The two-fold objectives of our conference remain unchanged. First, to showcase the CPES research performed over the past year and update our sponsors and members on project results. Additionally, we leverage this event to encourage direct interactions between our graduate students and CPES industry partners and government collaborators.
Conference activities begin on Monday morning, April 11th. Sessions will run for three full days and include Invited Keynote Speakers, Tutorials, Technical paper presentation Sessions, and two Lab Dialogue Sessions!
Most events will be live-streamed and recorded, made available for those unable to attend in-person.
As in past years, the CPES Annual Conference will be followed on Thursday, April 14th by our Virginia Tech colleagues from the Power and Energy Center (PEC). This reflects the growing collaboration between our groups and the critical synergies between power electronics and power systems.
Conference Organizing Chair Xin Lou, Co-Chair Xiang Lin, and the committee have been very busy planning the conference. Says Lou,
We are very excited to welcome our members and sponsors back to Blacksburg, for them to meet with the students and visit the labs to see the hardware and discuss our research.
Our last in-person Annual Conference attracted around 200 participants from 12 countries, representing over 60 companies and 18 research institutes, government agencies, and universities.
We fervently hope COVID-related travel restrictions will ease so all of you can join us in 2022!
