Resonant Converter Topologies with Multi-Energy Storage Elements

A systematic method is proposed to classify multi-energy storage elements resonant topologies including two, three and four energy storage elements. This method is based on the gain curves of topologies, which can indicate some key characteristics. This method also can be extended to more energy storage elements. The relationship between resonant frequency and resonant topologies is discussed. This relationship is utilized to classify and select resonant topologies. The method is used for three and four energy storage elements resonant topologies in this paper.
