CPES welcomes Dennis Grove as our new Program Director for Research and Innovation in Energy Systems

CPES is pleased to welcome Dennis Grove as Program Director for Research and Innovation in Energy Systems! Dennis will be contributing to the establishment and implementation of goals and strategies related to Virginia Tech's Electronic Energy Systems Initiative (EESI). EESI seeks to fomulate and implement a coordinated university strategy for research, innovation, business engagment, and education in energy systems, in collaboration with the University Leadership Team.

Dennis joins CPES after seven years as project manager for Virginia Tech's Institute for Critical Science and Technology, where he managed more than $1 million of university investment in interdisciplinary research into sustainable energy and water. Most recently, he provided operational and financial management expertise to help stand up the Molecular Software Sciences Institute, a $20 million center funded by the National Science Foundation. Prior to his work at Virginia Tech, Dennis worked at Yale University, Ames National Laboratory, and Iowa State University.
